I like that Stimorol have steered clear of the tried and tested “name this product something ridiculously South African like polony bunny chow” and gone for something I think is quite cute. While they’re sticking with the “name the flavour” angle, they’ve put out options like Talented Cats, Inverted Commas and Band Camp.
You can vote for what you think the flavour is on their Facebook page, and even though I haven’t even tasted it yet, I had a rad time playing around with this cute FB App. The options are pretty rad and the stock images they’ve used are funny.
I love the "facts" that some of them have if you hover over them.
The TV ad is super cute, too. Have you seen it yet? It started airing last night.
Voting will take place for 9 weeks of Facebook and the winning flavour will be announced at a mystery party which, again will be decided by the public – a “You Decide” Party. The public will have the final say when their top choice is printed on the pack.
For those of you who are clever with words and ideas, suggesting a flavour on the Facebook page could mean your dream comes true. Tastes like ‘Pillow Fight’? If you win, a bevy of pillow-wielding girls could arrive at your door and smack you down. Tastes like ‘Camouflage’ or ‘Ninja Warrior’? Be careful what you wish for cause the Stimorol team could arrive on your doorstep and attack you by surprise. Naturally, all this will be captured for eternity on video and posted online for your friends and family to laugh at while you cringe in the background.
So I might name the flavour as, say: “New Car”. Or possibly “24 Hour Flights To Thailand”. You know, just as a suggestion.
