Lee's new campaign "Own This City" is all about the things that make you love your city. The little gems that make your city yours: that restaurant tourists steer clear of but where you're sure to always run into your mates. The back routes that help you skip the traffic when you're running late. The beach that's deserted even in season. The secret shows your favourite band's playing. Your favourite parking spot that seems to always be waiting for you. The best place to see the sun rise... These are the things that make the city yours.
Nash and I shot this video for the new campaign together with Motion City Films. We wanted to capture the every day beauties that we love about Cape Town. The eery beauty of Town's deserted streets in the early mornings. The understated radness of Company Gardens. The bicycle and skate culture. The freezing cold, but absolutely beautiful little beaches dotted around the coastlien. The music culture and the coming together of friends around a few pizzas and a couple of glasses of wine.
