Undressed Skeleton is one of my favourite "healthy inspiration" blogs. Written by an American girl in her 20's who struggled with her weight all through high school, Tarlynn writes about amazing recipes for healthy, substantial meals that will help you beat cravings and replace full fat sugary treats with healthier, tasty options.
One of her features I love most is Little Lunches.

Inspired by Taralynn's amazing looking lunches, I've started packing my own little lunches. Here's one I had this week.
Baby carrots, cucumber sticks, ants on a log (celery with peanut butter and raisins), hummus and fat free smooth cottage cheese.
Now that we're living so close to town, I'm going to start going back to Virgin Active. Sitting in an office from 8:30 to 17:30 every day isn't doing me any favours in the health and fitness department!
I absolutely LOVE watching the swimming during the Olympics so I think I'll take it up again. Would you believe I used to be a provincial swimmer? Well, you will when you see me swim. Maybe by summer I'll be ready to take part in an open water event?
Virgin Active has launched an amazing swimming initiative with Olympic Gold Medalist Ryk Neethling and SA's Olympic hopeful for 2012 Chad Le Clos called SWIM. Check it out here. See you in your Speedo.

I love this idea! -Where can you find containers with dividers like that?!
ReplyDeleteI got mine at spar in Hout Bay. You can find them everywhere. It is so helpful and really helps with portion sizes. I'm looking for a plate that is split too, so that you can measure your portions of veg, carbs and proteins.
DeleteGirl-dude, I'm inspired. Lekker post. Thanks.
