My friends over at Retroviral asked me to share this with you guys, and I think it's pretty cool. Gareth Cliff is making a guest appearance on this Saturday's episode of Phineas and Ferb. I feel like this is a pretty big deal. It's not everyday you get asked to voice a cartoon character. Previous guest stars of the show include David Beckham, Ben Stiller, Michael J. Fox, Selena Gomez and Slash.
Phineas and Ferb has been nominated for a BAFTA and actually won an Emmy Award. Currently Phineas and Ferb is the number one rated show on Disney XD and the top animated series on Disney Channel (DStv Channel 304) with kids. During the last measured quarter in South Africa Phineas and Ferb reached over 4.7 Million individuals (4+).
The show centres around the adventures of Phineas and his English stepbrother Ferb - played by British actor Thomas Sangster (Nanny McPhee, Love Actually) - who set out to conquer boredom and make every day of their 104-day summer holiday count, much to the annoyance of their older sister, Candace, played by Ashley Tisdale (High School Musical). The series is co-produced and created by Dan Povenmire (Family Guy) and Jeff ‘Swampy’ Marsh (The Simpsons).
So if you have DSTV, maybe you should stay in your pajamas this Saturday and watch the Disney Channel and eat some cereal and think of me. It's going to rain in Cape Town, so I can't imagine a morning better spent.
Here's some behind the scenes footage of GC in studio:
Hey Disney, if you ever need a girl, I have a voice.
Where's Perry?
ReplyDeleteI love watching Phineas & Ferb.
