I recently watched two really amazing documentaries. They shared the central theme of the life and times of a musical superstar, but could not be more different in every single other way if they tried.
One, the tale of a Christian-raised small town girl who breaks into the music industry with a megahit about tasting another girl's cherry Chapstick. The other, the story of the search for one country's mysterious 70's musical hero, rumored to have killed himself in the most gruesome way, on a journey that takes you from Cape Town to Detroit and back.
Both their stories are incredible, inspiring and a little bit magical. And it's absolutely fascinating to see what a difference one moment, one big break, one commercial hit can make to a career and a life. I ordered these from Loot.co.za and I've got a copy of each to give to you!
